BOY OH BOY, I definitely need an update post here!
UPDATE: So....we are currently living back in Orem, Utah now! (Where it all started, lol) We moved from Orem to Independence, MO back in March 2008; then we moved back from Independence, MO to Orem in March 2014. No more moving after this! Now with that being said, I'm gonna try and do a quick review post of some of the important events from the past years that I've missed with my blogging. Such a slacker!
May 2009: Had our 1st son, Ma'atoe Aveau Moe! He is now 11 years old, preparing to enter in to the Young Men's program in our church. I am so excited for him to continue to grow spiritually, and especially to participate in administering the sacrament.
August 9, 2010(8/09/10): Miscarried what would have been our 4th child. This was a pretty difficult time in my life, as well as for my marriage, but we will save that for another post!
May 2011: We had our second son, who I named after his father, Tautala! He is such a sweet, loving, kind, & caring boy! From a recent post, during my pregnancy with this one, my first ultrasound lady told me that it was A GIRL! From that moment, I was hesitant because I had the strongest feeling that she was wrong. Sure enough, right before I gave birth, had an appointment for another ultrasound to check the measurements of baby; I asked if they could just double check the gender, and this lady told me "You're having A BOY!" ALWAYS TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS MOTHERS, lol.
October 2011: We had been married for almost 7 years in November this year. This was the year that our marriage was tested & had hit our first REALLY BAD, 'ROUGH PATCH'! I'll admit, I am not the greatest or the most perfect wife, but ARE THERE ANY? If you find her, please let me know so I can get some tips and insight on how she does it! Anyhow, there were some emotional connections being made where they should not have been during this time. Because of that, me and my kids left Missouri for a couple of months, took a time-out from my marriage thinking it would help us. Being away for that short time made me realize that the only way to REALLY save your marriage IF that is what you want, is to be there in person, and face the problem together. It actually made us stronger, and we were able to work through it all. I will also say that it also gave us our last baby for our family.
November 2012: After going back to Missouri in January 2012, I got pregnant shortly after. In November, I gave birth to our last baby girl, Sasagi, in Independence. She is such a blessing to our family. We decided after having her, that we were done having babies, so I went and got the Essure procedure done to prevent any future pregnancies.
2014: Moved back to Utah in March. Shortly after moving back, Mama passed in Missouri! I loved that woman as if she was my own mama. She loved my kids so much...all she ever wanted to do when she was alive, was see and spend time with her great-grandchildren. I had the opportunity to grow closer to mama by administering her medication for her Diabetes with my sister-in-law Loa. I loved the time I got to spend with mama.
2015-2019: Just living life, working, raising our children, and fulfilling our callings in the church! Our oldest daughter, Kacey, graduated from highschool in May 2018 from Mountain View Highschool in Orem. She is currently just working, and living out in Florida with her boyfriend temporarily. Her plan is to someday move back to Missouri to be closer to her Moe & Iloilo family out there.
2020: This year has definitely been one for the books. The year started out just fine, but in March, the Coronavirus hit & became a worldwide pandemic. The virus has claimed the lives of MANY, MANY people, some of whom are near and dear to my heart. I also experienced my very first earthquake on Wednesday, March 18, 2020! It was a 5.7 Magnitude quake that woke me from my sleep at 7:09am! I was knocked out and all I felt was my bed shaking & I jumped out of bed so fast and was trying to figure out what was going on. I opened my room door to check on my kids, who were all just watching Disney channel in the living room, or still asleep. My next instinct was to jump on Social Media because I'm sure someone felt it too...sure enough, it was an earthquake. I was scared, I am not going to lie! But I will do a 2020 post next to shed more detailed light on the events that took place & are still taking place to this day.
Well, THAT was my brief highlight of the past 11 years! Hope you enjoy...I will (again), try and make sure to stay more current with my posts. Until next time! ALOOOOOOOOOOHA!
